Mr. Mulah’s attempts to make me homeless

Mr. Mulah attempted to regain the deposit that he put down on my apartment based on a handshake. This property manager avoided me to finally let me know (verbally) that Mr. Mula’s attorney had requested my deposit back. They told me like it was a dark-day and, too bad I may become homeless, but they had to “close me out” (I assume they meant my rental file, but they said it like that a couple of times). They were seriously going to cut this multimillionaire a check for about $1k and put me on the street.

I learned it is completely illegal in Colorado to give a deposit back to someone that is not on my lease. When I mentioned that to them, they got bitter towards me and fast.

The apartment that I put a deposit down on vanished into thin air. They accepted my check before running my application to see if I’d even qualify for this slightly more expensive townhouse. My rent prior to additional rent was 68.44% of my income. I knew that but I needed a place. This was one of many sloppy business practices that I brought to light.

The story goes on. I opened a harassment case with the Colorado Department of Civil Rights to complain.

This Colorado based property management company [apparently] was not versed in Colorado law as it pertains to property management. I asked them just that - they did not reply.

I supplied about as much information to that case as I have on this entire website - only pertinent to that case. This included proof, photo's and a detailed timeline.

The property management company went to all the tenants in the building and had them each write a letter about how they don’t like me.

They specifically told these tenants that they will no longer be managing their building because of me. Hugs and tears, I’m sure. One older woman with painted eyebrows said she didn’t like that I carried a loaded gun wherever I went including taking the trash out. Well, I don’t think anyone had accused her of having a “million-dollar ass” recently, and she is probably oblivious to the drug cartel on the same block.

Another neighbor went on about my Amazon boxes and said it wasn’t right that I left the place a mess. Actually, I left it far cleaner than it was when I moved in.

Quite an observation by a blind man.

I'm not a lawyer. I guess I need to get one. Where??

I've tried. Nobody seems to care, and I lost this case. There is more to it also- and to my knowledge it is public record.

How much more personal and mental damage could I possibly ask for? I used the last of my disability settlement to buy a used RV to live in. Another fun story there.

justexhale.org is not an organization yet.

I sincerely doubt the State of Colorado would allow that.
